Pinecones, berries, oak leaves, irises, fish and deer often inspire my functional porcelain pottery. One of my favorite pieces, the antler bowl, has a deer antler for a handle and altered or textured details.
I fell in love with clay forty years ago. However I’m still amazed at the transformation of a simple ball of wet clay into a beautiful, hand-crafted vessel. It is very rewarding to be involved in the whole process: to design, wedge, throw, trim, glaze and fire. My affordable pottery is meant to be used; to be sipped from, served from and enjoyed.

Beautiful pottery - meant to be used and enjoyed
My functional pottery (excluding antler bowls) is dishwasher and microwave safe. Durable products that will retain color and shine, even after many uses.
She does AMAZING work, I love my mug! Countless washes in the dishwasher and it's still bright and gorgeous as ever! Ill be buying more! Very very great quality too!

I love my antler bowl! It’s one-of-a-kind and also functional. It’s also a nice conversation piece; I get compliments on it all the time! I’m very happy with it!

I came away from her studio with a warm feeling; it was like sitting in a sugar shack with friends, sitting around with coffee, visiting, and cooking sap! Betsy's creations are beautiful.
